About Me

I have lived in London all my life. I left school to become a junior draughtsman in an architect’s practice. This developed over the years to my working in Project Management in the oil and gas industry, including working off-shore building gas-rigs.

I became disenchanted with the commercial world and in 1993 started to train people to fix their bicycles. This led to my working in prison education, beginning to facilitate group work and from 1999 to start counselling. To have found a way to earn a living that I find enjoyable and satisfying came as a relief after years of not really knowing who I was and what I wanted from life.

I’ve travelled widely on six continents to enjoy wild places. In particular watching birds, whales and dolphins. I also have a passion for cycling, especially in mountains, although at 60 I wish I had the fitness I did in the past!
